Caring Leader Community
CULTIVATE : Caring generation forward ...
TYPN aspires to make our generation a caring one and pass on opportunities from us to inspire the next, and hopefully they pay it forward from generations to generations, continuously creating a better future and improving the state of the world. We hence heavily invest on youths, allow them to fulfill their potential and cultivate sharing & caring values through various activities:
- English
for Young Local Guides Training: designed local-tailor-made curriculum and taught the courses for over 300 kids and youths (aged 3 - 20) in Muslim community in
Prawet District, Bangkok to promote local tourism
- Youth Entrepreneurship Training: designed and conducted training on business planning, and provided business consultation
for students and teachers from 250 schools nationwide to improve/scale their school ventures in order to generate extra income for school
activities and infrastructure development, in partnership with Ministry of
Education
- Social
Enterprise Business Plan Competition (SEBP): educated Thai university students on the concept of "Social Entrepreneurship"; identified and incubated
young Thai social entrepreneurs, co-organizing with Chulalongkorn Business
School, British Council,
Stock Exchange of Thailand, Krungthep Durakij and ChangeFusion Institute (http://sebp.in.th)
In 2012-2013, our key partner is A-Chieve, the youth-led social enterprise we have been supporting since 2011. The first upcoming activity from this collaboration is A-Chieve Shadow 4 in October 2012. Please look forward to our upcoming year-round initiative A-Chieve OpenWorld in 2013! ;)
CONNECT : Caring Leader Initiative (CLI)
CLI
is an ongoing initiative that engage and connect young professionals to charitable
activities in order to cultivate socially responsible mindset and create
social-concerned atmosphere among the future leaders of our country; our
activities vary from an inspirational talk by leading Thai social
entrepreneurs, a volunteer outing with orphans to Children Museum, to a
trip to grow rice for elderly elephants.
CONTRIBUTE : Underprivileged Empowerment (UE)
Underprivileged
Empowerment (UE) mobilizes and utilizes knowledge and know-how within TYPN to empower marginalized populations in Thailand, mainly
through education, research and training. Example of our past projects include English for Career Development training for disadvantaged women, partnering with Goodwill Group Foundation.
From 2013 onward, all of the Caring Leader Community activity/project is in collaboration with Global Shapers Community - Bangkok Hub.
